Women students excel in international science and technology competition.

Supported by US AID and in partnership with three US institutions and the Ministry of Education, World Learning is working in Egypt to transform science and technology schools into incubators for future leaders. These schools will fuel innovation and create genuine employment opportunities. Mona, Hoda and Sara – three students from Maadi School – won second prize in the international science and engineering fair in the US for their energy-saving water purification system.

With the right teachers and education, we know students are capable of anything they set their minds to. Creating beacon projects such as this one plays a powerful role in the development of underrepresented subjects, with schools across the world looking to this model of science and technology education.
